Regional Planning: Why Do We Need This?

As a business or citizen in our community, have you ever wondered what the New River Valley Planning District Commission is and what it does? How does this agency interface with local governments to create better synergy? Can you imagine if we had 4 counties all doing their own initiatives what the cost would be to the business community and residents?

Kevin Byrd, Executive Director of the New River Valley Planning Commission will present the value brought to our community by the NRVPC. Kevin will share the economic development strategy, revolving loan fund and projects supporting the creative economies. You will also be in the know as to the “top projects and priorities for the future”.
