Mad Science

Mad Science: a program for children and adults of all ages who enjoy making things like airplanes, boats, bridges, rockets, and towers out of everyday objects then putting them to the test.

“Annual Egg Drop” will take place on Saturday, March 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Blacksburg Library.

Anyone with an imagination is invited to design and construct an apparatus that will protect an egg when dropped from a 12 foot ladder. Materials will be provided the day of the program, but you are welcome to build another contraption at home to bring in and put to the test. All eggs must be inside plastic baggies to avoid a mess! Bring your homemade egg drop contraption to be put on display the week before the program.
