Are Our Workplace Generations Really That Different? About the Program: We are always hearing about how each generation in today's workplace is different. Everyone is always looking for the differences and how we can deal with those differences. Maybe what we need to do is look at those differences as strengths, and use those to build upon how it has always been throughout each generation. There are many factors that are found in each generation of workers, and maybe we should not be so quick to label or assume that because someone is a different age that they have to be treated differently. Let's find the commonality and move forward from there. Session Learning Objectives: •What are the current generational stereotypes that we have concerning each generation, and why do they exist? •Are these stereotypes fair to each generation? •What are the factors that make each generation similar, and why do they exist? •How can we build upon those similarities to make a stronger and more effective workforce? Presented by our own Linda Greene, Diversity Chair. We hope to see you there! RSVP: http://nrv.shrm.org/forms/rsvp-october-2017-meeting
