Social Media & Content Creator

Mountain Lake Lodge is seeking a social media/content creator to work with our VP of Sales and Marketing. This can be a full time or part time position depending on the experience of the applicant. This is an on property role. Mountain Lake Lodge is a historic, rustic boutique resort on 2600 acres in SW Virginia (about 25 minutes from Virginia Tech). Mountain Lake Lodge is most famously known as the filming location for the 1986 cult classic, Dirty Dancing. Mountain Lake Lodge is a truly one-of-a-kind brand as it hosts hundreds of wedding, meetings, and executive retreats as well as immersive Dirty Dancing Weekends and Events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
• Create, curate, and manage published content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging.
• Monitor social media channels and respond to audience inquiries, fostering community relationships.
• Analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics to optimize content and campaigns.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to produce visually appealing content and utilize SEO best practices for improved reach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media marketing and management
• Strong relationship management skills
• Proficiency in SEO and social listening techniques
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience using Hootsuite for social media scheduling
• Skilled in content creation, graphic design, and public relations
• Knowledge of Facebook Advertising and Google Analytics
• Ability to conduct keyword research and web analytics
• Experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, and video editing

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
