Job Title: Service Technician Department: Maintenance

Position Summary:
MELD Manufacturing is growing and seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial part in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex MELD Machines that utilize the latest technologies. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install, repair, maintain, and test MELD Machines to ensure optimal performance.
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and customers to implement effective solutions.
· Provide clear and timely communication to other departments regarding work progress, issues, and outcomes.
· Prepare detailed reports, including diagnostics, resolutions, and recommendations for follow-up actions.
· Perform setup and teardown of MELD Machines as needed.
· Read and interpret engineering plans, schematics, and vendor specifications to ensure proper installation and function.
· Conduct system integration and testing, troubleshooting electrical and control system issues as necessary.
· Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless integration of their components into MELD Machines.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency.
· Other tasks as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications:
· Familiarity with various kinematics, such as 6-axis robots, deltas, gantries, etc.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues.
· Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
· Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
· Ability to work effectively in a small business environment with rapid growth and changing priorities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work well in a team.
Required:
· Travel up to 75% to customer sites for installation and maintenance. Most travel is within the US, but some out of country travel is required.
· Must be a US citizen with a valid passport or ability to obtain one.
Education:
· Associate’s degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb stoop, kneel and lift and/or push/ pull up to 40 pounds. The employee must have color vision to work with color-coded wires and components to correctly identify and trouble shoot systems.
