About Us
Eastmont Community Foundation is a non-profit serving the eastern Montgomery County area. Eastern Montgomery County, Virginia, is located halfway between Virginia Tech and Roanoke, and is comprised of the historic villages of Shawsville, Elliston, Lafayette and Ironto. Eastmont Community Foundation is based at The Meadowbrook Center, a multipurpose community facility created out of an abandoned nursing home that today features a library, Waldron Fitness Center, museum, cafe, office space and artist studios, and more. Located at 267 Alleghany Spring Road, Shawsville, VA, 24162 ECF also operates Old Town Fields, Eastmont Thrift Store, awards grants and scholarships locally and supports the LINC newsletter.
